I recently learned how to fold an origami trinket box. I want some boxes to organize my desk drawer and I found a pictorial instruction at Origami-Instructions.com. The instructions are surprising simple. I use a heavier paper (110 lb index card stock) to make my boxes and the result is pretty good.

I also discovered how to make a lid so I'd have a covered box. The trick is to make the second one a little larger so it would contain the bottom half. (Howto-origami.com has complete instruction in case you are wondering). I also think these has potential as party favor boxes. Each box measures 3"x 3"x 1.5" (from a sheet of 8.5" x 8.5" paper). It can accommodate cookies or candies easily. I may use fancier card stock, or jazz these up with color ribbons or stickers.

I also came across some cool customizable labels to decorate party favors with. A lot of these are for wedding favors or baby showers. But you can pretty much customize it to say whatever you want.
