Infinity Scarves - The IT fall accessory

If you only buy one piece of fashion accessory this fall, make it the infinity scarf. An infinity scarf is a looped scarf that has no ends. Depending on who you ask, sometime it is called eternity shawl or the circle scarf. This type of scarf has been featured on almost every runway and frankly I find this to be the most wearable trend. Wrap the scarf twice around your neck for warmth or simply let it dangle long. YAYA Aflalo has a popular striped infinity scarf that is spotted on Jessica Simpson. For an affordable version, check out this version at Fides Fashion. They comes in five different colors and cost less than $20 each!

New jewelry trends for fall (part 2)

Costume gold and pearl brooch - Fides Fashion

Brooches are making a comeback. They are easy to wear, timeless and appropriate for any age. More celebrities are wearing them on the red carpet as
InStyle Magazine points out. Take cue and breath some new life into your tried and true black dresses by wearing a brooch on your shoulder or at the waist. For a casual look youthful look, experiment with multiple brooches and pins in different sizes and group them together for a bold visual impact. JCK (Jewelers' Circular Keystone) has taken note
on this trend as well and has a couple of examples.

New Halloween invitation designs

I have been working hard for the past few weeks coming up with great Halloween invitations. A lot of invitations on the market are either too traditional or too busy looking with tons of design elements cluttering up the card. And even though it is cheap and fast to post an evite or simply email your Halloween party info, I feel that a properly designed invitation will greatly enhance the party experience. The printed card serves as a prelude of what's to come and it adds anticipation. Recipients will place more importance on your event and are likely to RSVP.

The following are a selection of my popular invitation designs. For more invitations you should visit Fides Design.

This Halloween invitation is more cutesy than frightful, perfect for children parties or game-filled gatherings. This particular one is a postcard invitation. You save paper by eliminating envelopes and you save postage simply by passing these invitations out in person. I love the smiley face on the soon-to-be-carved pumpkin.

This jolly Jack o' lantern design sure will put a smile on anyone's face.

This one is a bit modern and minimalistic. The square shape and non traditional design might appeal to the urbane crowd
.

I love how this Halloween postcard invitation looks so grownup and decadent. Masquerade cocktail parties anyone?

Here is
another non-traditional looking Halloween invitation with a modern feel. A couple of dangling spiders sure will creep anyone out.

Decorate with retro advertising prints

I love vintage ad prints from the early 19th century. These art nouveau wine and spirits advertisement cards are perfect for decorating small breakfast nook or kitchen. They are greeting card size and I would love to frame and arrange them on the wall above my kitchen counter.
